It is rare to find someone with the depth of experience and commitment to the profession as Charles. Entering the profession in 1979, he is immensely qualified at creating successful financial strategies that help small and mid-sized businesses and organizations flourish through astute accounting and tax analysis.
Not surprisingly, his experience covers a range of services and clients. He truly shines when helping closely held businesses and their owners grow and expand their enterprises as well as those going through start-up and relocation projects. In addition to serving clients, he is also dedicated to improving the profession. He has served on practice review teams, taught continuing professional education courses, and spent time as a technical reviewer and consultant to other firm offices. In 2021, Charles was recognized as a 40-year member of the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants (NCACPA).
Charles is equally committed to serving others outside of the office with volunteer roles on the Cameron School of Business executive advisory board, and the Advent Christian Village board of directors. Additionally, he is deeply involved with the United Advent Christian Church, serving as an elder, worship leader, choir member, and chairman of the board.
But don’t think Charles doesn’t know how to have fun too. He enjoys spending time with his wife and son, bicycling as often as he can, and literally putting words in other mouths as a ventriloquist.
